Cardinal Plant black (Philodendron erubescens)
The Philodendron ‘black cardinal’ is a low-maintenance, medium-sized self-heading philodendron with large, color-changing leaves. New leaves emerge in shades of burgundy, changing to green and then black as they mature. This philodendron ( cardinal plant )does best in bright, indirect light but appreciates some direct morning and evening sun which will help to bring out its black coloration.
pilodendron erubescens is highly recognized among exotic and beautiful tropical plants. It flaunts a large, waxy set of foliage which do not require full, bright sunlight, hence easy to grow and quick to adapt. The plant thrives indoors all year round but can also be placed outside.
Pro tip: Water Blushing philodendron once the top inch of the soil feels dry to the touch. Water thoroughly and make sure that no liquid is retained in the pot. So be sure to use containers with sufficient drainage holes.
